Guest guest
Hi TerriLynne, What exactly did she do and what is the situation with the knee? How did she injure it? What can you tell us about the injury? Don TerriLynne wrote: > Hi all, and, perhaps, most especially Suzi, > > My daughter has injured her knee. I have been looking in the files for > assistance. Guest guest
Hi Don, I don't remember a specific beginning injury, but she does like to dance and run. I believe that she may have originally injured it while engaged in one of these activities. And, since she loves both, she hasn't given her knee as much of a break as it needs. It is now to the point where she can just take a wrong step and it starts " screaming " at her all over again. I did talk her out of running a marathon earlier this month (silly child!) Guest guest
Hi Terri been busy here at work... just saw your message What did your daughter do to her knee.... need to know to better tell you... mine was a lateral release and arthritis.... MSM is very good, along with Bone, Flesh & Cartlidge, Deep tissue or deep massage oil... with DMSO added also chondriton glucosamine... alternating hot and cold therapy is also good. but we need to know what we are working with.. Guest guest
this could be a minicus tear ... go with the hot and cold... but then also work up to mega doses MSM, use the bone flesh & cartlidge (both internal and external)... on the external, apply DMSO first then the BF & C over it... the chondriton glucosomine is optional (I took both MSM & cg)... I also did super tonic every day as I put the MSM into it instead of capsules) I would use deep tissue oil at bedtime... but BF & C in the am and afternoon. Strengthening exercises are good but go lite until it starts healing then ease into them. At least this is what I did.... They told me I'd never be able to full bend my knee... HA.... I can't squat for very long or kneel on it (with weight) but I can fully bend it and I can run... Guest guest
Hi TerriLynne, She has three choices from my perspective. She can give her knee the time it needs to heal and give it what it needs to heal, she can continue going about her usual routine and hope for the best or she can go the medical route. DTRO, MSM, glucosamine, removing dairy products and other acid forming foods and replacing with lots of raw, preferably organic, fruits and greens. 75% fruits and 25% greens with some raw nuts and seeds. Then she needs to baby that knee for as long as it takes, which can be quite a long time. Bones don't have such a wonderful blood supply as does the flesh and takes longer to heal. Tendons, ligaments and cartilage take even longer because they have no direct blood supply. They will heal but it will take quite some time. Think how long a broken bone takes to heal, you could probably double that for the time it takes for cartilaginous body parts to heal or even longer. However, eating much more raw, especially raw tender leafy greens will give the needed organic minerals that the body uses to make it repairs with; but she needs to cut way down on or cut out or cut way down on the acid forming foods (dairy, bread, soft drinks, alcohol, coffee, meats, etc.) Now all of that if she wants to allow her body to heal itself. This way will be the most preferable for preserving the integrity of the knee. Just my .o2. Guest guest
Hi Don and Suzi, Thanks so much for your replies. I have forwarded your comments to my daughter. She is somewhat raw, but tends to get " off the wagon " if she goes to a party or something. Anyway, I really appreciate the helpful suggestions from both of you.
