Guest guest
You think rinsing with water will just wash it away? Maybe hairdresser, Gloria, will give us more insight too. For any deep treatment, I always recommend a plastic cap and heat.... Sitting under a dryer, the sun etc. Not sure how easy it would be to get molasses out of your hair. I'd try a test in a small section first before putting it all over your head. See if it washes out easily. Gloria
Guest guest
Suzi, Thanks. Wonder if the molasses will go into the shaft for norishment. I wonder if sitting out in the sun with the shower cap will help get the treatment penetrating further then just on the hair? You think rinsing with water will just wash it away? Maybe hairdresser, Gloria, will give us more insight too. Please. Thanks. carolgSuzanne <suziesgoats@...> wrote: Sweet Treatment for Damaged HairHere is a one-ingredient formula that may surprise you, but it has amazing nourishing and repairing properties for damaged hair. If you spent too many hours this summer in a pool, in the sun, or getting tangles from harsh salty sea air--or if you have damage from bleaching or blow-drying--this sweet solution will help restore your hair to soft, shiny, bouncy glory. The secret is blackstrap molasses. It may sound kind of sticky and gooey to use, but it smells sweet and it will give your damaged locks a nourishing treat. Simply massage about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of blackstrap molasses (depending on the length of your hair) into your tresses, then cover with a shower cap and allow it to set as long as possible (for an hour or even more, if you can.) Rinse with warm water. PS This isn't a "shower" type job. See it's just not only an ingredient for organic iron! Suzi
Guest guest
Thanks Gloria. I used to have hot oil treatments done to my always dry hair...so far the follicles are still weak....more nutritional issues probably. molasses: I know when I used to make baked beans, way back, I used molasses and when it melted it was smooth and soft. Being a mile high where the sun is super strong, I think I can get into the garden and still walk around with a cap on, not even being noticed in this country setting. Where are the people is my thinking? Hugs, carolMorningGlory113@... wrote: You think rinsing with water will just wash it away? Maybe hairdresser, Gloria, will give us more insight too.
