Hi Lee,

The Comtek FM system I have is 8 years old. (I believe it's an AT-72)

Although I'm having more difficulty hearing well enough to use it, I'll tell

you what my experiences have been up until now.

The first time I used it, I couldn't believe how clear it sounded. For me,

it was one of the few FM systems on the market that provided a nice, clear

sound without interference (buzzing, hissing).

The controls used on the Comtek are simple and easy to use. The receiver has

a volume knob that is easy to adjust. The transmitter has a two position

switch used to turn the unit on and off.

One thing I love about the Comtek is its durability. It is solidly made and

mine has survived several accidental drops to the floor without suffering

any damage.

Overall, I've been *very* pleased with my Comtek FM system and would highly

recommend this brand to anyone looking for a high quality unit.

Comtek is a fine company. Whenever I've e-mailed questions to them regarding

my unit, they've always responded in a timely manner. Their e-mails were

also written in a thorough and friendly manner.

I can't think of any negatives regarding the Comtek (except for the fact

that the unit I own has bee discontinued<smile>).

I hope I've answered some of your questions. I can't comment on the Comtek

unit you spoke of but if it's anything like the AT-72 I'm using, I think

you'll very pleased with its performance.

Right now I'm

permanently " attached " to my Comtek FM receiver, DAI cord and external

microphone so that I can hear environmental sounds better through my BTE

aids.

The college that I am going to is offering me that make...... can you tell

me

pro/con of it? My audie " felt " it best that I use neck loop as offered in

kit,,,,, the model the campus has is a new Comtek AT-216 Wireless Auditory

Assistance Kit.

It is good to hear! I trust that if you are happy, then I might! Will find

out in a month when school starts.
