Guest guest
Interesting you mention word testing. My audie only gives me sentence testing. Which do most audies give, sentence test or word tests?
Guest guest
Majority is word testing. I never had sentence testing. Maybe someone here did! di > Interesting you mention word testing. Guest guest
Received further reply from Dr. Kimberling: , Thanks for the information. It doesn't sound like you have Usher IIc. We'll keep working. Bill
Guest guest
Hello, I know it is late top reply to this message, but it doesnt hurt to try. I wonder if an cochlear implant/transplant will remove my tinnitus. Did your tinnitus go away after this operation? > My audie did both word and sentence testing. If I recalled before my CI 2 years ago I scored 14% in sentences with bilateral hearing aids on and roaring tinnitus in my left ear at that time. That was the key to the qualifying as a CI candidate. > > -- > Snoopy > bilateral > RI > > > >
Guest guest
Lars, It's never too late to ask a question if you want an answer. <smiles> With the cochlear implant some people report that their tinnitis diminishes somewhat once they are activated; my opinion would be that once you are activated, there is sound coming at you that helps to mask the tinnitis making it less noticeable.
