Guest guest
, Not to rub it in to Chauncey, but this is sort of funny... I took Jaxon to get his shot yesterday afternoon (Brixon came along " for the ride " ). Anyway, I was pretty worried about him crying, etc., but he is " tougher " than Brixon in respect to pain - doesn't cry as long, etc. Well, would you believe, I pulled his pants down, sat him on the table, the nurse took the needle, pushed it in his skin, pressed all the medicine in and Jaxon SAT THERE AND WATCHED THE WHOLE THING. He didn't even FLINCH. No tears, nothing. No redness at the site later either. Amazing. With respect to Chauncey, I do hope he feels better. I just had to rib him a bit since Jaxon is only 2 1/2 :-) The CI is less than two weeks away! ! Kim (Jaxon and Brixon's mom)
Guest guest
You know with my surgery coming up so fast I never got the shot. Guess I should ask if I still need it. susan & hobbes implant 2/23/04 At 11:55 PM 3/3/2004 +0000, you wrote: >hi all, >hope everyone's doing great. >Chauncey just had his menigitis shot today in preparation for his >surgery. he is complaining about some pain in the shot site. is that >common? what else can he expect? >as usual any info will be greatly appreciated! >thanks, and take care, > > > > > >
Guest guest
lol!!! to put it mildly! well big head got his shot in the arm, and while he is always the brave one, I had to cover my eyes! I'm sure he'll be just fine. I think I'm just being a worry wort, oops...but that's me. thanks for making me laugh about it, and I know he will too, and hopefully it wont hurt his big head more than his arm! love the boys' names, wanna tell? m > , > > Not to rub it in to Chauncey, but this is sort of funny... > > I took Jaxon to get his shot yesterday afternoon (Brixon came along " for the > ride " ). Guest guest
yes you should always ask, no matter when or what about! I was concerned about the timing also, and of course ask your doctor(s), but Chauncey's Dr. asked that we do asap, and today makes just under two weeks prior to his surgery on the 15th. I double checked with his audiologist today before the shot and she told me that it's fine as long as it was at least a week and up to thiry days prior. good luck to you, and please take care! > >hi all, > >hope everyone's doing great. > >Chauncey just had his menigitis shot today in preparation for his > >surgery. he is complaining about some pain in the shot site. is that > >common? what else can he expect? > >as usual any info will be greatly appreciated! > >thanks, and take care, > > > > > > > > > > > >
