Guest guest
Lee, This is how you learn to listen to and appreciate music! One small step at a time. picking out familiar instruments instead of trying to get the entire song is the very way I learned to hearmusic and eventually it all came together. I love listening to music again now. Hearing your first phone conversation.. It's sweet isn't it Lee? I think my dad was more excited about how well I could hear him on the phone than I was..LOL although I could hear speech well when I was first activated.. Music took me about 6 months to understand well. I'd have been happy just being able to hear well enough to communicate with people, but my ci has far exceeded my expectations. Alice is so right.. I was smiling as I read your account of hearing and it's such a good feeling to know that one more person has been able to reap the benefits and joys of a ci. My favorite song has always been.. We've only just begun.. to live... exactly the way I felt when I was able to rejoin the hearing world. Have a great weekend. I met Lee at the Hearing Exchange several weeks ago and she was like the rest of us - worried, nervous and unsure of her decision to do this. She met with us weekly and joined us here on the list. So many of you took an active role in her journey. I know how much you have enjoyed reading her activation account. I just sat here and smiled from ear to ear. > > Lee.. Guest guest
Good.. I'm glad. I was sure the audiologist could answer the questions. Have a wonderful hearing day, Lee.
