Hi Cherry....I have an Advancd Bionics CII and love it. I had my left ear done also. There is a CI forum for Clarion users that you might be interested in joining. He is also going with Advanced Bionics - well, we are making that choice for him :-) He will have his left ear implanted. We wish you the best! Guest guest Posted February 26, 2004 Report Share Posted February 26, 2004 Hello Cherry, It's so nice to hear from you. I have had my implant for 2 and a half years and I love it. I wasn't born deaf, but before I was implanted I could hear very little. My implant allows me to communicate so much better than I dreamed possible. You will have a lot of work ahead of you, and it doesn't matter which implant you get. They all work well. I have the Nucleus implant and can asnwer questions about that one, but there are folks on here who have the Clarion and the Med El too and they can answer questions about their particular implants. Please keep us updated. I'm glad you are making the choice to be implanted.
