Below is a message sent by Don to the list, about which I have a couple

of questions. :-)

First of all, what are the numbers in parentheses, as in:

(2) Comfrey leaves in Jojoba

Does this mean 2 parts? Two parts comfrey to how much jojoba?

Second, what is SJW, as in:

(2) SJW

Hmmm, I think I need an interpretation of the whole recipe. You know,

into parts, teaspoons, whatever. :-)

Thanks for any help,

TerriLynne

Here is another one for eczema that I have had for quite some time.

Sorcy’s Xcema Balm

Ingredients:

Batch 1: Infused oils:

(2) Comfrey leaves in Jojoba

(2) Calendula Blossoms in Olive (cold pressed first pressing native

virgin EXTRA)

(2) Cleavers in Olive (or jojoba if you're rich)

(optional: add a pinch of chapparal and chickweed. I've been

making incredible rinses with them lately, and will alter the

recipe next time accordingly)

Batch 2: Cold pressed, pure oils (essential)

(2) Avocado

(2) SJW

Batch 3: Base:

(1) Bees wax

(4) Cocoa Butter

(1) Shea Butter

Batch 4: Pure Gel, no additives/preservatives

(4) Aloe Vera (if oil instead of gel, 2 parts instead of 4)

Batch 5: Precious (read: expensive) Essential oils (pure, cold pressed)

Evening Primrose, 1 Tbs.

Orange, 50 drops

Vitamin E capsules, 10 large (or 20 small - NO cheapos!!!)

Instructions:

Warm batch 1 & 2 over low heat. Add batch 3 and stir carefully until

melted. Shut off heat but leave on burner. With a wisk, whip in batch

4(careful,

tends to clumb... aloe is waterbased and does NOT want to be with

oils... if you have a source, you can buy aloe essential oil, that

makes it easier)

Now stir relentlessly until the batch is entirely cooled down or it will

still separate on you. At this stage, you can still add more oils or

more melted

wax/butter if you're not happy with the result. Simply warm (not heat)

the batch up again.

When consistency is to your liking and mix is cool, add batch 5. Store

cool, but not in fridge. Will last several months (so far, I haven't

seen it spoiled,

but we use it before it could....)

Peace be with you,

Don " Quai " Eitner
