Guest guest
Got some favorite lemonade recipes? Please share. Will lime work in its place? I don't know about lemonade, but I just made a batch of iced tea from a box of Celestial Seasonings tea....some type of apple/cinnamon flavor. Brewed 10 cups, let it cool, and then added the juice of 2 lemons, 2 limes and an orange. Wow! This is good stuff! Gloria
Guest guest
Easy - lemon or lime. Peel a lemon, cut and remove seeds. Toss in the blender with ice, water, stevia to taste. Blend to a blur and enjoy. Can add a couple of mint leaves. Guest guest
Would you recognize the box for Celestial Seasonings tea? Carol, I just sifted through the garbage and found the box.... Celestial Seasonings Apple Cinnamon tea. I made it in a gallon jar and put it in the fridge and drank some this morning. You better like cinnamon because the cinnamon flavor is strong. I personally love it. I just put the lemon, lime and orange in it but I'll bet tossing in an apple or 2 would be great. I'd just cut up an apple into big chunks and throw it in the jar and let it marinate in there. As it softens the flavor goes into the tea. Guest guest
Juice one entire lemon (peel & all) per 5 apples. Shari
Guest guest
Mint is a good cooler too. And oh yes it is too hot in Oregon right now *sweats profusely* The hubby just ordered us a little swamp cooler and I can’t wait for it to get here because I will camp my fat butt right in front of till it starts raining again! Mo Siegel, founder, is friends with my good friend from way back too and I think they are still in a study group together. Micki, need to get over the recipe site. Thanks. carol Micki <micki_charter (DOT) net> wrote: Regarding the Celestial Seasonings webpage, I clicked into fun things and guess what there is some great recipes. The two last catagories are beverages: Sounds Yummy. We are having heat wave conditions in Oregon and I know lots of other states are also experiencing this, must be the global warming. This site has some great coolers and during the winter they have things to warm you up. BTW, Apple Cinnamon rocks as a cooler. Guest guest
BTW, Apple Cinnamon rocks as a cooler. Now I'm on a Celestial Seasonings kick. Just made more iced tea, this time using Wild Berry Zinger. Added the same lemons, limes and oranges. It's tangy but good. I might cut up a mango and throw that in it. The Apple Cinnamon had a sweeter taste...must have been the distinct cinnamon flavor in it. I preferred that one over the Wild Berry Zinger. This is fun. I drink a lot of iced tea in the hot months and love experimenting. Going into the 90's here tomorrow. Good drinkin' weather. Gloria
