Not??? > Gayla ======================== From what I recall, the cashew has two shells, an outer and an inner. In between these two is a dark or black sticky oozy caustic and toxic substance. This is what makes raw cashews toxic if care is not taken in their preparation. However, it is possible to get raw cashews and they are not toxic themselves, it is the resin between the shells that is toxic.
