Subject: Detoxing Ginger Bath

Detoxing Ginger Bathby Deborah J. If you want a real treat, try a ginger bath. It ismarvelous.Once or twice a week, I like to take one before going tobed. I sleep so incredibly well. I always do, but theginger bath cleanses the body (internally as well asexternally) and relaxes you. I wake up feeling so relaxedand so great. To take a ginger bath, put approximately 1/8 cup of ginger(either grated or powder from the supermarket) under therunning tap. Run pretty warm water in at first and get inthe tub. Once in the tub, let enough hot water run in tomake the water pretty hot. Then lie back and relax or read for about 40 minutes. When I'm not going to read, I like to light a candle andenjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Lots of times I like to takeadvantage of the 40-minutes to read. After about 20 minutes, you begin to sweat. After the 40 minutes or so, get out of the tub, wrap up ina large towel or sheet, and crawl into the bed and cover upwith your bedcovers. You will usually sweat for approximately an hour. This method really helps sweat toxins out of your body.If you don't want to get into the bed wet, you can lie onthe floor.Perspiration even pours out of my scalp.I like to go to bed because I fall asleep almostimmediately and don't wake up until morning. Since you arewrapped up in the sheet or towel, your bed doesn't reallyget very wet. To my daughters and me, it is worth it.If you wake up later on and feel the need to you can placea large dry towel under you and put on a warm robe so thatyour cover sheet isn't against you if it is damp. You can vary what you do to your likes/needs.Last night I didn't even use the ginger and still had greatresults. I could hardly believe it. I fell asleep on myback and slept that way all night. I never can sleep on myback, but I was so relaxed that I was able to. That wasgreat because sometimes I sleep on my arm wrong and wake upwith a sore shoulder when I sleep on my side. When our daughter comes in for college breaks, guess whatis one of the first things she does? She can hardly wait to take a ginger bath.

I would talk with your dr first... If I did not have a dr...this is

I agree with Suzi. It sounds like a milder variation of the Cold Sheet Treatment. Dr. Schulze says he no longer uses that because it is too traumatic for some people. I'd be cautious if I had heart problems and do something like this only under supervision. It could possibly cause dizziness or even worse symptoms in heart patients.

I would talk with your dr first... If I did not have a dr...this is what I would do.... I would use less ginger and soak for a much shorter time... like when you feel yourself beginning to sweat... I would get out... In the meantime I would be doing some cleansing.... juice fasts, etc. to help my body eliminate toxins.. Proceed on the side of caution. Sneak preview the all-new .com. It's not radically different. Just radically better.
