Guest guest
Hi Hermine, Most of those abbreviations are for CIs as well as hearing aids. Generally they are as follows: BWP = body worn processor BTE = behind the ear speech processor BW = body worn (could be hearing aid or CI speech processor) HOH = hard of hearing. dB = decibels (way to measure sounds). HA = hearing aid. Those are all I can think of right now, but it would be nice if people wrote out the word, then used the abbreviation after it the first time. That's correct grammer. And if you're first starting here, it's like an alphabet soup. Nucleus Volunteer From: COHEAR@... Subject: Acronyms-off topic What is a BWP, BW? BTE (behind the ear) Are we talking about hearing aids? Thanks for the description.
