Hi Hermine,

Most of those abbreviations are for CIs as well as hearing aids.

Generally they are as follows: BWP = body worn processor BTE = behind

the ear speech processor BW = body worn (could be hearing aid or CI

speech processor) HOH = hard of hearing. dB = decibels (way to measure

sounds). HA = hearing aid.

Those are all I can think of right now, but it would be nice if people

wrote out the word, then used the abbreviation after it the first time.

That's correct grammer. And if you're first starting here, it's like an

alphabet soup.
