Guest guest
Can Omega Oils Improve Behavior?"In a recent study from England, inmates given daily vitamins, minerals and omega fatty acids drastically reduced their bad behavior. Compared to inmates who didn't get the nutritional supplements, they didn't fight as often, break as many rules, mouth off or act out as much." (SF Chronicle) While this evidence is hardly conclusive, it is certainly interesting, and it is right in step with what some long-term researchers of omega fatty acids have come to believe. Researcher Dr. ph Hibbeln notes that the American diet is now much lower in omega-3 fatty acids than it once was; he believes the resultant lowered serotonin levels are a possible explanation to societally increased levels of violence and depression.
