What is the other mineral that is supposed to be taken with calcium? Is it magnesium? Supposed to help it to absorb into the system? I am wondering because my pregnant daughter is being told by her "doctor" that she need to be drinking mega amounts of milk and take suppliments for calcium. I of course gave her a list of foods high in calcium, and told her about what "milk" really is, the stuff you buy from stores, and how our bodies are made to utilize natural sources, not artificial sources. Here's an interesting aside for those of a spiritual bend. We are told in Scripture that all that our Creator made is good for us, if in moderation and shrewdly. I tend to agree. But most of what we consume is not Creator-made, but man-made. And look at the consequences. Sweetly broken, wholly surrenderedCarol Minnick

Yes, magnesium. Without magnesium, the calcium will not be absorbed

properly. In fact, magnesium is absolutely critical to good health and

many dis-eases are caused by it's deficiency. My whole body aches when

I am low in it.

If you get a supplement, make sure it is one without starch, sugar,

fillers, etc....

Hope this helps.

Peace,

Actually, I think ALL minerals should be

taken. I don’t single any out,

like take just calcium and magnesium for bones. Your bones are made up of all minerals I think,

not just those two.
