Chloe has had many instances where hearing has been different on one test, but back to her normal on the next. It sounds like a reasonable plan to see how his next test goes and plan from there. Of course, if he had any new drainage, etc., I'd want to be seen more quickly than that.

Good morning!I have a question about my son's most recent audiology exam.  Overall his hearing remains at a moderate-sever conductive loss across the board except for the 4000hz level, he jumped to a sever loss registering loss at 90db.  (3 mos ago his range was 50db at 4000hz)  Every time there is a flux in the test, I worry the C-toma is back.. but this time is such a large decrease... do you think that is a possibility?   What is he NOT hearing at that 4000hz level?   We don't go back for follow up until 11/03/10. If it is still the same they will do a CT scan, or just schedule surgery to go in and look.  We have had only one episode of ear drainage about a month ago... it seemed clear, but no reason for it.. no swimming, etc.  It was quite a lot of fluid..

Thanks for your input. I trust our Neurotologist... but if it is growing again.. three months is a long time to let it grow!~diane------------------------------------
