Guest guest
Hal, Being nervous about surgery of any type is a very normal feeling. Believe me.. most of us have been there at some time or other in our lives. What is it that has you sonervous? Have you had any previous surgery of any kind? Please do express any concerns you may have with your surgeon or ask away on the forum. We'll get you through it.. maybe even find you 101 ways to amuse yourself while recovering from surgery. It will all work out and I'm sure you will be extremely happy you made the decision to be implanted. I'll bet your son will be a great deal of help to you during recovery especially if you give him a list of things he can do to help out. wishing you all the best. Guest guest
Hi Hal, I just realized that I never answered your exciting e-mail announcement about your upcoming CI surgery. I thought you'd be interested in knowing that my 13 year old granddaughter stayed with me after my CI surgery and she waited on me hand and foot. It was a good experience for both of us. The kids love to do it. I'm sure your son will be a huge help to you. So do you have a recliner, some good books and DVD's or videos in mind to keep you busy? I guess lot's of frozen dinners and sandwiches would be a good idea. Soft foods are usually best. I'll be looking forward to your account of this adventure for both of you. Congratulations on your surgery date! It's very soon and of course - Good Luck! Alice > Hi all, Still nervous here about it all. The insurance approved > yesterday and the surgery date is Dec. 8th.
