Guest guest
Wayne - Take both of them because you are going to be in a humid area for quite a while so by having both, you'll be protected. Sounds like a great trip. I hope you have a wonderful time. You'll have to tell us all about it when you get back. Alice
Guest guest
There is no need to fear breakage of the UV bulb while traveling, as long as the bulb is securely in place. We ship the Global model all over the world in container ships, airplanes, and trucks, and I don¹t recall a bulb breaking. When traveling, remove everything from the unit except the Dry-Brik before packing it in your suitcase, and be sure the Dry-Brik is in its proper place on the left side, where it will be securely held in place when the lid is closed. Travel cases are available, but nesting your Global unit in with soft clothing works just as well. Happy trails! I was also afraid the bulb would break if I put it with my other luggage. I was very carful with it. The lady at the dry and store booth said it was just sensitive and they had many complaints about it so they made another stronger cord for it. The cord is very easily removed from the box. Sharon From: " sewunique47 " <PlayForDixie@...> Thanks for responding to my post on dry and store. I have looked at my unit and it is the global dry and store and does say it's good for travel. My main concern is the bulb inside the unit. It seems so fragile. I've thought about wrapping or stuffing the inside with bubble wrap to protect the bulb against damage and might try this to see how it works. Sharon, did you somehow damage the cord while traveling? I haven't looked to see if the cord can be disconnected easily, but will certainly take a moment to study it and see how it's put together. Thanks all, Dixie
Guest guest
The pellet is supposed to be there on any bulb made by Ushio or Sankyo-Denki. Please report the malfunction to customer support at the number below. Rick =================== Rick Gilbert, V.P. and General Manager Ear Technology Corporation P.O. The UV bulb seems to have a pellet in it that rattles. I suppose it's not supposed to be in there and I've broken it??? Hal
