Hello to all. I hope this finds you well. I had my MGB on June, 9, 2000 and

never lost below 150lbs. I'm 5`1 " and started out at 225LB. Is the cost for a

revision the same as it is for first timers? I was a self pay the first time

and I really can't afford to pay again.

<PRE>Hi Joanne, I was down to 172 lbs. when my mom was dying and I was eating

almost nothing. Then I started to " eat " and I am fighting to stay around 182

lbs. Cannot get lower and I'm over two years out. I wish I could get a

revision but I also need hernia repair so I don't know how they would bill me

and what my actual cost would be. Hang in there, your a beautiful person

I've never inquired about a revision, but from posts I've saw the cost is the

same for a revision. I'm sorry.

Joanne-

From what I have heard at the seminars it is the same price. I

would guess that you would have the same charges at the hospital and

anesthesia, etc.

I'm sorry you stopped when you did. Has to be disappointing even

tho I am sure that you have had a lot of improvements in your daily

life from the weight loss. I hope you are able to have the revision.

YOU ALL ARE SCARING ME. AFTER TWO YEARS YOU BEGIN TO GAIN ALL THAT WEIGHT

BACK? SOMETIMES I SEEM TO BE ABLE TO EAT TOO MUCH. WHEN I EAT LIQUIDS OR

SOFT TUNA, I SEEM TO BE ABLE TO EAT 4 TO 6 OZ. OF IT AND I AM NOT EVEN 3 MOS.

OUT. I WON'T BE UNTIL THE 6TH. OF FEB. AM I ALREADY STRETCHING MY STOMACH

BACK OUT? WHEN I EAT BREAD OR CERTAIN FOODS, I CAN ONLY EAT SMALL AMOUNTS.

CAN WE REALLY GAIN ALL OF OUR WEIGHT BACK AFTER TWO YEARS? I THOUGHT THE BY

PASS KEPT YOU FROM GAINING IT ALL BACK?

THANKS

Many of us who are seeking revision did not " gain " it back. I lost 100

pounds with the mgb, maybe 112 at my absolute lowest. My surgery was May 3,

2000. I am seeking a revision because I stopped losing too soon. It IS very

disappointing, but I can honestly say that I would have done it anyway. I

don't consider my surgery a failure; it just wasn't a total success. I have

my fingers and toes crossed that the revision will get me the rest of the

way. Dr. R seems to think so, but it seems that revisions have mixed

success too. I hope to be one of the lucky ones.
