Guest guest
Getting Your Good Fats In A great way to avoid bad fats (margarines) but still have a spreadable " butter " is to melt a two (2) sticks of butter on low heat. When melted, remove from heat and add 1/3 cup olive oil (good fat). Stir and let cool and then pour into containers for your healthy butter spread that is easy to spread right from the refrigerator. If you make several containers at a time, freeze what you won't be using. from A Natural Solution 4 You Newsletter - 5/13/06 ***
Guest guest
Another good idea that would be fun is just before putting the butter spread into containers - while still warm take and pour some into the blender and add minced garlic and a little basil and parsley and whip in the blender - this would make a wonderful herbed garlic spread.
