Guest guest
First the good news.... I gave my mom some of the salve I made a little while ago for her severely cracked and dry hands. She's had that problem for years and nothing on the market really helped her. Mine was made with olive oil, beeswas, lavender oil, tea tree oil, comfrey, goldenseal, plantain and something else I just can't remember at the moment. After only a few days she called to tell me I should be packing and marketing the stuff as a miracle. She was totally amazed at the improvement. Yeaaaa ...I gave myself a little pat on the back. The bad news..... hubby's earache got so bad that Sunday we spend half the day at the emergency room since he was in so much pain. I had tried the goldenseal boiled in water, garlic oil drops, moist heat compresses, homemade broth with a cayenne kick and super tonic and to no avail. The doc said he had water behind his eardrum (praying it wasn't from me when I put the drops in) and right now he's about 1/2 deaf. They gave him Vicodin & Zithromax (sp?). I felt like a bit of a failure and realized after Suzi's homeopathic prescription how much more I need to learn. We both want to get away from "the system" but it didn't work out with this ailment. I'd like to think we could be self sufficient but then the pain was so bad that we broke down for instant relief. He equated the pain to "broken bone pain". Any advice how to learn to get to the next level of knowledge would be appreciated. I don't know if I need to go to school or buy special books with more advice than the normal home remedies. Let me know your thoughts. All the things I have learned from this group and other books and mags are great but I want to keep learning so that doctors are mostly a thing of our past.
