How long did you have to wait after the implant was done to get hooked up to

the CI ?

I'm going to try another one as the first did not work out for me..

Auria Cel Pack Batteries .. how long they last for you

before needing recharge?

My cel pack only last avarage of 4 hour before it need to be

recharage again .. I am wondering if anyone else Auria cel pack is

about the same or the battery last longer between recharages?

Ill be seeing my programmer today and Ill ask her more about it and

see what she say about it ..

I am happy I got the CI .. I like it over my hearing aids .. lots of

new sound I never noticed before with my hearing aids .. Those

left/right blinker in car make a real annoying sound tic toc tic toc

tic toc .. never heard that before with a hearing aid .. wonder how a

hearing person could stand that! ..

but one thing I notice and I don't like is the high pitch sound seem

to cut off the background and then when the pitch stop it drop down

to no sound then gradily raise back to normal background sound .. I

am going to have to ask my programmer about that one today too ..

First day mapping was horrible .. can't hear child voice but adult

voice came in barely that male and female voice sounded the same to

me then second day mapping was a huge difference and so much better

but I don't like the background " cut " off at the high pitch sounds so

today's mapping Ill see if they can fix that and do some slight

adjustment .. I think there a small echos in some of the sounds but I

am not sure yet since I only had it for 4 days now ..

I had to wait 5 weeks due that my skin does not go down to swollen as

quickly as they wish it to be .. they said there been people who had

to wait 6 to 8 weeks .. Right now my skin is still thick and my pick

up coil barely can stay on ..

They told me that they notice people that are overweight or muclear

(big bone) take longer for the swollen skin to heal than those

smaller people or thinner people ..

I weight 250 pound but big man so they said they weren't suprised

when the magnets don't make a good connection to each other yet and

my skin need more time for the swell to go down some more ..

Hi Bill,

Sorry to say I never heard that before.I'm trying to find the connection of

weight and bone structure

to a healing process. When I tried the first implant I was over weight and I do

have what is called big bone

structure but never had a problem healing with other operations. This is another

question I will ask at

my appointment.
