Guest guest
Question - does cayenne applied externally hurt? Surprisingly enough it doesn't hurt more than a quick sting. I am always cutting my fingers on my job and use it all the time. I have concluded that it must burn on mucous membranes (mouth, etc) more than other parts of the body . I've poured the stuff right into a big cut and, really....it doesn't burn much. It just smarts for a second or 2. And it always stops the bleeding. Guest guest
Gayla, I've used it for major and minor injuries and can say that for me, it didn't hurt like I expected. The worst I had was on a minor cut, and it only got warm. However, I learned early on that if the wound is an older wound, like several hours or a day, then it definitely burns like the dickens. What I do is limit the blood supply to the cut if possible. Like holding the base of a finger tight if the cut is on a finger, that sort of thing. Have someone clean the wound if possible, and apply a liberal amount of cayenne, cover and bind the wound. like with a wrap, gauze or bandaid. Let go of whatever I am using to limit the blood supply and let it sit for a while. A few minutes to a few hours, changing if necessary. Then once the bleeding is slowed significantly or stopped, I clean it out with Tonic, bind it up and go on my merry way. Hope this helps. Peace, love, laughter "Never fear shadows. I am sure I read it didn't, but I find that hard to believe! Gayla for Good - Make a difference this year.
Guest guest
Did she wash it out with super tonic??Gayla <goatclearing@...> wrote: I will remember that, and thanks. Someone IM'ed me several nights ago about a friend's animal with a broken leg and the bone sticking out. She did not believe in vaccinating for tetanus or taking the animal to a vet. I told her to put cayenne on the bleeding wound to stop it. Then told her how to splint it with split PVC pipe lined with Kotex and wrapped with duct tape. I have not heard back, so I have to assume all is well.,,,I hope! Photos Ring in the New Year with Photo Calendars. Add photos, events, holidays, whatever.
