Guest guest
I just made my first green smoothie, with a new gadget I bought last week. It's called a " Magic Bullet " (probably one of those " as seen on TV " things) and is incredibly easy to use and clean up after. You can google it and find it…here's one ad for it: HYPERLINK http://www.homelandhousewares.com/ http://www.homelandhousewares.com/ Anyway, I bought it at Linens 'n' Things…they had it for $10 off, plus I had a 20% off coupon, so I got it for a good bit less than the $59.99 plus shipping you'll see in the ads. But it's great fun to use -- you can make soups, smoothies, dips, drinks, guacamole, salsa, etc. Easy as can be. My first green smoothie was 1/2 mango, 3 large frozen strawberries (Plant City, FL, strawberries -- nothing better in the world! -- I bought several quarts and froze them so I'd have them long after the season was over, and will probably buy more before they're gone), 3 pieces of frozen banana, a handful of blueberries, four leaves of kale, and about 1/2 cup of pineapple juice. The only thing was it was too thick; I should have used more juice, or even water. I still have in the fridge for my selection next time: more mangoes, avocados, blueberries, frozen strawberries and banana pieces, pineapple, kale, spinach, romaine…and probably a bunch more stuff I can't remember now. (I made a big visit to the local produce stand yesterday.<BG>) This green smoothie stuff is great fun! Sharyn -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
