great idea... a listenign skills curriculum where you can work at your own

pace. about time. i wonder how effective it is and how far does it take a ci

person? all the way up to phone skills? to fine tuning between the f and s

sounds?

it would be great if this was provided to every ci recipient as part of the

package, just as the dry aid and such.

thanks for sharing this with us, lee and keep us posted if you come across

it and what you think of it.

Lee,

I'd be interested in this software! Even though I have the MED-EL, I

still am interested in purchasing this from Cochlear . . . I've decided

I've had enough of just " getting by " and want to improve my listening

skills, and am pretty much looking at anything (within reasonable costs,

of course).

Thanks!

Andy

listening software

my audie told me two days ago about a workshop he went to recently, that

Cochlear is marketing a new software in July, designed for pre-lingual

deaf. My

memory of what he said is sketchy, other than it cost over 200 dollars

and,

................ forgive my memory..... for the rest...

Any one know anything about it??

Thats interesting. I rang the Cochlea company to ask for the audio

tapes/books for prelingual adults and they told me no, only avaliable for the

young

children. I said to them can we use them anyway? and they said you can but

its not suitable. Obviously they can see enough evidence that prelingual adults

can do very well with c.i and need more encouragement on listening skills.

Bring it on in July!!!

I had another mapping on my processor and its much better. its a miracle!

I cant stop smiling!

Always nice to see the progress of you all.

Best wishes.

Yeah,, it's a bummer but remember, we are new group in the CI world.

Yes, i will DEFINALLY keep you all on your toes when I learn more. Thank

goodness for my updated audie, who managed to hear the news before us.
