the day!! Less than 48 hours!! Moses

Enjoy eating and drinking tomorrow. After that the preop fast. Of course

if you were Muslim, you'd already be fasting anyway.

Stock up on popsickles to sooth a possibly sore throat after the operation.

Cold applesauce also works great.

Moses,

Thinking of you tomorrow. Have a fun time, and don't forget to ask

for more warm blankets in pre-op and post-surgery. I " been there,

done that " last Wednesday!

Good advice that gave you:

slip on shoes

button front shirt

remove one end of your glasses (hey, you didn't mention this to ME!)

sleep sitting up or on pillows

lots of soft food -- grapes and bananas and choc pudding were my favs

ask for anti-throw-up med in pre-op from anesthesiologist

make sure you go to the bathroom before surgery

And who's going to take you there, and back home, Moses, just wondering?

Moses,

Doing wonderfully. A nicely healing 2 " incision on the side of my

head, itchy at times. My co-workers gawk at it. I tease a couple of

people: " see where I missed, shooting myself, and some of my brain

leaked out " and they actually believed me! :) Just kidding.

Sounds good (except for the wreck). You can sleep and take meds for the pain if

you need it. Thanks for checking in. Now go get some rest after you pat

yourself on the back. The surgery is behind you and you did it!

Congratulations!

Welcome back home from the sleeping dead. As for my own experience

last week, it sure felt like I was only " gone " for a few minutes -- a

really deep, deep sleep -- and that made me realize what death is

like. No consciousness.

Eeek.

Morbid thought tonight.
