The next courts-martial hearing, which will begin this Monday, has now been

moved back to Camp Pendleton. It begins at 1000 hrs. Only two cases remain,

the third Marine - despite having been punished through NJP - decided to take

the vaccine.

Hello ALL,

Some of you may remember me from my writing for advise earlier this month.

I call myself Ang on the list and have a 15 month old son who since my

mailing has been diagnosed as having achondroplasia. I know late for this but

we finally have the answer to a lot of questions. Now I have another question

for you Moms and others who have been there done that..... What are some of

the tell tell signs that there is ear infection or something else bothering

him physically? We are new and just starting this journey and as I have said

before sometimes sharing these things can be better than reading something in

a book. I have some books coming also but I want to give the best

possible care.

Also a question about potty training. I have two problems 1) he is a small

person and 2) this is my first boy...

Again thanks to all of you who wrote me the first time and thank you in

advance for any advise this go around.

I have Achondroplasia and wanted to respond.

When you have an earache it is good to have it checked out by your family

doctor. If it is a more detailed problem(s) your doctor will probably refer

you to an Ear/Nose/Throat specialist.

Some signs of an ear infection are really bad earaches, inflamed ears, mucous

coming out of ears. If leans on one side or put his hand to the

outside of his ear is another sign as well.

As far as potty training goes. I was taught on a potty with a small stool to

help reach my potty and when I was older and went to elementary school they

keep a stool for me to use in bathroom to reach toliet.

Does anyone know anything about side effects or long term effects of using

Nazoril/Ketoconazole

I am currently taking it and somewhere I read that with long term use it

could cause liver damage.

Only reason I am on it is because it is a prescribed drug and is covered by

my insurance and so many other things I take are very expensive

Hello! I'm new to this. I'm seeking information on " NEAT, " which my mother

is now doing with her ND. Has it really made anyone not allergic anymore? I

also am waiting to receive Wild Oregano oil from Purity Prod. and Glucan from

Norway. I take Ethical Nutrients Intestinal Care DF capsules (20 emptied

capsules in a small amount of room temp. distilled water first thing in am,

at least 8 hours after eating or drinking anything, and waiting 1 hour before

eating or drinking anything, including brushing my teeth. I order it

directly from Metagenics in Calif.) It has worked when nothing else has. I

found that FOS makes me sicker, so I get the Intest. Care without FOS. My

past MD's, ND's, etc., haven't thought that I could get much better. My MD,

who wrote a small book on candida, said that he couldn't help me " I don't

know what's going on. " Well, I could blab forever, but who cares about my

war stories, but just to say that when Intestinal Care DF worked for me, I

was overjoyed!!!

PS I recently went to an MD who treated the actress Wagner AKA Bionic

Woman. She is highly regarded, but she wanted me to get into Edgar Cayce

which I won't do, ever. However, she did recommend using a castor oil pack

over my liver for an hour to draw out toxins. I didn't do it. Has anyone

used it with healing results???

Hi everyone!

I will be making my first airplane trip in July. We'll be flying

British Air, and visiting Germany, France, Switzerland, and Austria.

Does anyone know of any provisions made for disabled passengers on

British Air (I use standard wood crutches), and secondly, are people in

these countries normally accommodating to disabilities?

Also, has there been any idea on when gene therapy will be available to

us? I have this itching to walk in the sand, run a mile, etc.!

Yes, I have mercury fillings. And I've heard the same thing. However, I

have to wonder . . . if that has such an affect, why are dentists still

using them? Why aren't more people affected by them?

Hello everyone!

I've been catching up on my reading and have seen some really good

info--thanks so much to everyone who writes in with suggestions.

The reason I'm writing is because I have an offer--I will send video of my

daughter, , during her therapy sessions doing VB--to anyone who thinks

it might help their program. A couple of months ago I read a few posts of

individuals trying to set up their programs and they wanted to see how the

" white boards " were set up and how the therapist moved through so many

programs at one time. I sent out videos to three people who I contacted and

they seemed to think it helped their programs to have their therapists

watching our therapists with .

I don't want any money for this and will take care of the postage and VCR

tapes--if you feel you must " pay " something you could make a donation to The

Jericho School " in ville, FL.

I also have probe sheets that I can send via attachments and a way to graph

progress that's not too complicated.

Hope you all continue the great work with your children.

to flee.

Ditto on the lock changes and the order. also, keep an eye on the kids and

let their school know that he is not to remove them from school (may need

the restraining order for that itself). Check all the windows or other

access points too, and remember he can always break a window, so have an

escape route planned.

Hi all--

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but we didn't have our colon bypassed. We

had our small intestine bypassed where the food that we eat is absorbed.

Since we had approximately 6 feet of it bypassed that tends to lead to

malabsorbtion, hence the vitamins and minerals we take.

I don't mean to get on anyone's case because I too know what it is like to

plateau, but Dr. R never promised that we wouldn't plateau. In plain English

(cover your ears folks) we are pissing our bodies off. We are literally

starving our bodies of what calories we did absorb before and now the body is

trying to catch up to the new intake. Some are longer than others.

Lets not also forget that yes we do need protein more, but we also need some

carbs for energy. It is easier for the body to break down carbs for energy

than fat and protein.

Dr. Bill maybe you can answer the nutrient receptor thing because I never

heard of it before and can't find it in my anat. and phys. text. \

I think someone on LT team can't stand it when we don't argue about something.

I don't know anything about this unfortunately. I would love to know about

this " nutrient receptor " thing though. My guess would be that if there are

" nutrient receptors " which " absorb " what we eat all along our colon and 30%

or so of our colon was bypassed that causes the " malabsorption " of

nutrients. Is this a fact - I don't know. Do these things regenerate in

the rest of the colon and therefore could we negate the benefit of the

bypass - I don't know. If someone does I would love to know too!

pattern at 189 but that looks great compared to where I started!

I must have missed the original post on this subject. They must not have

discovered the nutrient receptor thing yet when I was taking biochem and

phys. Maybe I was asleep that day, maybe they are a shot in the dark.

Sorry I haven't been able to join in lately. I've been working like mad and am getting my kitchen redone at the same time. It has been very hectic the past few weeks. I have been keeping up with everything here though! My 21 yr. old son just found out last night that he has hep c. I am very upset for him. He is taking it pretty rough. His name is , please everyone, keep him in your prayers. has been sober but for one day since August 2000. I tried to talk with him last night but he is like in a state of shock! Sorry to dump but this is the only place I feel truly safe doing so.

Vicky don't feel bad for telling us this.That is one of the reasons we are here..Please reassure your son there are so many of us out there just like him..The worst thing he can do now is to give up..He needs to start his fight..You can also tell him when I first found out I had Hep that I felt like I was dirty and had done something so wrong but in reality none of that was true...The Good Lord will see him through this just like he has all of us.Let him know we are keeping him in our thoughts and prayers and if he ever wants to get in on the group we would love it..Maybe if he spoke to us his self it would help more..Does he go to AA? If so maybe he could let it out there....The worst part is, is keeping it to himself.Keep us informed on how he's doing....Vicky you are always welcome to speak about anything that is bothering you.......We love you Vicky...

I am so sorry to hear about .... I will put his name on the

prayer list! He needs time for it to sink in.... Remember being told the

1st. time?.... I do, and it was like someone handing me a death

sentence.... One good thing is that he has a Mom who knows a lot about

it, and when he is ready he will talk to you.... In the mean time I am

sending my Love and Prayers to you and to keep you strong...... I

I remember when I found out that I had hepc, I thought it was the end of the world.Mainly because while I was in the hospital with hepb I was told that if I ever got hep again It would probably kill me. Well here I am still fighting and doing pretty good. My last shot is Monday. I'm sure glad after nearly 16 months of them.

Vicky, if its troubling your mind, please go ahead and

dump. That's what we're here for. If he has found out

at 21, I think the odds for him fully recovering are

probably greater than the rest of us. It's great that

he is not drinking anymore, that will be a great help

for him too. I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to

handle that news at 21 nearly as well as I did at 46.

Just try to reassure him, he's got the benefit of your

experience and he's always welcome here, too. I will

pray for his speedy recovery. What about you? I've

been a little worried about you too. Please keep us

updated on your progress when you get the time. It's

probably a good thing to have remodeling your kitchen

as a bit of an outlet at a time like this... we're all

Well, I can speak for myself and I'm doing pretty

good. My son is here for the weekend, so we're trying

to plan some sort of adventure for the day. It's

supposed to get up to 50 today which I imagine will be
