Guest guest
Kathy, You were wondering if anyone on this list has lost over 100 lbs? I did. I have lost 230 lbs now. I had my MGB on 12/20/01 weighing 375 lbs. I now weigh 145 lbs. This surgery does work! I have not done anything differently than anyone else....I'm just very blessed, I guess. I eat anything and everything I want....just not much at one time. Even at over 2 years post-op I have continued to drop a pound here and there, but I think I have pretty much stayed at my current weight for the past 3 months. Yes, there are MANY people who have lost more than 100 lbs! Just keep doing what you are supposed to do and the weight will come off! Good luck in your journey! Is this the norm that you stop losing? Even on the website when you look at the pictures you never see anyone that has lost over or close to 150. I need to lose 160 will I have to go through this as well? This is something clos failed to tell us and from a money stand point I can see why. Guest guest
I wasn't wondering if anyone had lost over 100 because just about everyone does. You are the first person I have seen that has lost this much weight. I have only seen one other person that has lost over 150. I'm sure there are more they just aren't around any more. Guest guest
Hi, My husband had his surgery 6-10-03 by Dr. R.- he has lost 170 lbs! he lost that in 9 months! I think he must have set a record- the problem is- he wanted to lose 140 lbs- he now is so skinny - he looks like a survivor from the concentration camps. I have contacted Dr. R's office but they don't respond to my emails- anyway- my brother in law had surgery the same day and he has lost about 130- I have lost 74lbs- I had surgery July 1, 2003 and I didn't have as much to lose- but it is definitely possible to loose a lot- my husband doesn't exercise, but when my weight loss slows down - I exercise and that makes a difference. >From: mbauls@... >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Do you lose much over 100? >Date: Sun, 11 Apr 2004 22:22:27 EDT > >I have gone from 310 to 165.... 145 lbs.. > >Mikee > >In a message dated 4/11/2004 6:25:24 PM Eastern Standard Time, >kay_jays_here@... writes: >Now I am really concerned.
