what page does it state that post ops should not drink caffeine.... i

was under the impression it was carbonated beverages and beverages

containing tannic acid.

i need this as a reference-- i have not restricted caffeine, only

carbonation and tannic acids, but if i NEED to - i will!

can anyone enlighten me?

,

I am with you on the caffeine thing. I was at the Hollywood seminar a year ago

in April and Dr. R. was asked about the caffeine issue. The reason we need to

stop consuming it two weeks before surgery is because it inhibits the healing of

tissue. And that we should also not consume it for about six months until our

tummies are fully healed. Other than that, caffeine doesn't harm our stomachs.

It is only a stimulant. I'm almost four months out and have had it only a

couple of times and have had not trouble with upset, gas or anything else.

Hopes this helps.

hi cathy,

no you are suppose to have caffeine. but there is a product called coffee tamer,

that mgb's are using. call 1-800-428-2637 (1-800-4a-tamer).

I have used it a few times in coffee but I pretty much stopped all caffeine.

put out a e-mail to others that maybe using it. and see what they say.
