Not sure if it adheres to the HAWK guidelines, but I'm posting it anyhow. I've been trying new things every day, and this is by far my best combination so far.

Fruit Smoothie:

7 frozen organic strawberries

1/2 a frozen organic banana (I peel them, break them in half, and freeze the sections ahead)

1/2 an organic red delicious apple, cut into 1 inch chunks, skin ON

3 heaping tablespoons strawberry organic yogurt (I used stoney field farm brand, about 1/3 of the 6 OZ. cup)

about 3-4 square inches organic silken tofu

dash of vanilla extract

1/8 cup of oatmeal (uncooked) (rolled oats may be the correct term)

milk or milk substitute to make a blendable/drinkable consistency (could use juice if wanted, though, I used skim milk)

Put all ingredients in blender and mix on highest setting until it stops making ice grinding noises (I shake the mixer or hold it at an angle to help it pull it all down into the blades), then continue to blend for an additional minute after all grinding noises stop, adding more liquid as needed to keep it thin enough to blend. Drink immediately, before it thaws out. Makes one tall smoothie, approx. 16 OZ. Makes a very sweet, strawberry milkshake-type of smoothie (kids would probably love it sans the oatmeal, cause it does make it a bit grainy). Should be a healthy breakfast, as it has 3 food groups in it, fruits, dairy, and grains (plus protein from the tofu). I don't suggest you try it with unfrozen strawberries and bananas, and I had unfrozen bananas one day, and it was too runny. The freezing the fruits really makes it like a milkshake, and yummy! If you prefer unfrozen fruits, I'd suggest you don't add any milk or liquids until it blends a bit, cause it may turn out not to need much or any.
