Guest guest
fyi...My husband and son both took Lamicil and it worked like a charm for them. BUT, it IS 3 months of treatment and it CAN be awful for the liver. Both had to have regular liver panels drawn. I can't imagine it would be too good for am mgber...but then I am not the doc...lol Re: Dr. Rutledge - Lamacil ? Unfortunately he doesn't usually recommend anything. He doesn't like the over the counters or the prescription medications. He usually " grinds " the nail smooth periodically and that is about it. The other option of course is to have the nail permanent removed - not a good option. I think I am heading toward the " old people " nails. If I am not diligent about keeping them " smooth " with the nail thing that I use on my acrylic nails they tend to get thick and " cloudy " . I don't know if that is fungus but that is how I stay ahead of things. Probably way more information than you needed or wanted huh??? > > > Hi Dr. Rutledge, > > > Is it ok to take Lamacil for a nail infection? Guest guest
Antifungal drugs are really hard on the body...I remember them being described as " nasty " drugs by my professor. That doesn't mean they don't work, and for some systemic fungal infections, they are a necessary evil. That said, if I didn't need to take a drug like this, I probably wouldn't take it. Guest guest
You got THAT right...if only they agreed.... Re: Dr. Rutledge - Lamacil ? I'm glad it worked for them -- they are in the minority - but they I always knew there were blessed - especially by the presence of temperature " QUEEN " !. > > > > Hi Dr. Rutledge, > > > > Is it ok to take Lamacil for a nail infection? > > > > >
Guest guest
That really WAS funny because Tony always says I have a two degree thermostat, that I am either FINE or NOT FINE...all part of being a Queen, I say...and yes, I remind them daily that I AM A QUEEN, so I thought it was on purpose...(you know the towels in my Bathroom say Queen , so trust me, I am NOT kidding!) I can be the temperature QUEEN. I use airconditioning in my car in the winter if I am hot and the heater in the summer if I am cold...drives him CRAZY!!! LOL Re: Dr. Rutledge - Lamacil ? That was supposed to be " the QUEEN " not temperature - the disadvantage to typing for a living and having a " word expander " program coupled with being half asleep when you were typing! The sentiment is the same however! And - you know that they know you are their queen - even if they don't say it out loud! > > > > > Hi Dr. Rutledge, > > > > > Is it ok to take Lamacil for a nail infection? > > > > > > > > > >
