Smokers warned of doubled risk of going blind

A HARD-HITTING video, warning smokers that they are doubling the risk of

losing their sight, was launched yesterday by Macdonald, the

deputy health minister.

The video, produced by the Royal National Institute for the Blind in

Scotland, was shown yesterday in Aberdeen and will be screened across

Scotland in the run-up to the smoking ban on 26 March.
