It will be hard since he sounds like he doesn't have the desire to do what it takes.. here is a website that gives alot of good info.. and maybe you can incorporate some of the things listed... http://www.liverdoctor.com/Section4/fattyliver.asp Milk thistle is good for the liver also. I guess it has to do with his diabetes. is there anything I can sneak into his diet to help....he really does not do what the doc

says as his job is a bit tricky and he is sometimes late for meals if he gets caught on a call. He totally missed a break yesterday and he is supposed to take his sugar, metformin and eat something so it makes it hard to regulate the levels. He isn't allowed to eat at his desk either. I try to get him to take as much fruit and veggies as possible and stay away from the junk...but he has a sweet tooth....a really bad one...and he is VERY stubborn as some of you already know (he has an angry streak...a whole other problem)

I may have to give him a scare to get him to work at it.....I think the threat of a liver transplant should do it......lol.

Seriously....he really needs to get things settled.

That's what it took for me. Several liver biopsies, a couple of ultrasounds on my gallbladder, chronic diahrea that turned me inside out about 12 times a day, jaundice, disabling retching (I am not physically capable of throwing up or burping), and of course the threat of a transplant. If he wants to live, and live well, he will change. If he doesn't, then he won't. Harsh, but true. Hang in there for him, and we'll be hanging in there for you, giving you our strength. thanx. At least I now know why he has a problem with anger....his body must be so off kilter. I guess that is why my gut was telling me not to kick him out yet......I felt that something was wrong.....can't explain it. I had other abusive relationships and I left right away....but this was different.

Now there is hope if they can get this under control.
