Floortime/DIR in preschool setting

Is anyone familiar with a preschool class that effectively utilizes the Floortime/DIR method for at least part of the class time? I'd be interested in observing the class or talking to the teacher(s). I'd also be interested in talking with any other parents who are incorporating Floortime into their home programs or who use the Floortime method in their OT. Thanks, Eileen

Eileen,

We have used Floortime with Kiernan and it's been great for him

learning how to interact and dealing with us messing with his " order

of things " .. it started with his OT doing it with him.. and we just

watched and learned and implemented it at home from there...

One great resource I found was http://www.hiddenlaughter.com which

is a mother's blog and diary/journal of her son from prediagnosis

until after. She documents how they did floorplay and how it worked

for them. It's a lot to read and take in.. but worth it... at least I

think so..

Sorry I can't be of much more help!
