Kozub mkozub@...My name is Kozub. I am a doctoral student from Indiana University and a parent of a child on the autism spectrum. I am conducting a research project on the diagnosis of autism in the United States. I am interested in hearing from parents to find out if most children in the US are diagnosed by schools or by clinics, also to see how well the current processes of diagnosis serves the needs of parents and their children on the spectrum from their perspective. I have posted my survey online and am searching for websites which will host my link. I am interested in posting my link at your site since you serve as a resource to parents and I am interested in a national sample. My research has been approved by the human subjects committee at Indiana University and has been funded by the Organization for Autism Research. The questionnaire can be seen at the following link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=559422553291 I have also written the following to help describe the link for parents who might consider visiting my site: How was your child diagnosed? This study looks at trends in autism diagnosis in the US. While many children are evaluated through their schools, others are diagnosed at clinics. What does this mean and what is it like to go through the process of having your child diagnosed? We want to know. To participate in this study, click on this link. If you could consider my link for your website I would appreciate it. Thank you for your time. Kozub
