Jenn,

Sounds like you must be looking incredible ...don't be in denial, embrace the

new you and show it off!

I hope they find out what is bothering Cat as well! Thank goodness she has

you for good support! Sending prayers for an easy fix and a great diagnosis,

and a QUICK ONE too!

Jenn,

I hope everything goes well with Cat. I know it is hard to get things moving

with HMO's, it is like pulling teeth! You have done great with your weight

loss!

Jenn, You are doing so well. Your surgery was 2 days before mine, and you're

25 pounds ahead of me in the loss department. So, you are doing beautifully.

But the important thing is health, and there I am right equal with you.

Feeling great, doing well, all good things. I wish Cat well in her tests,

and hope she begins feeling better and is soon able to eat less! You take

good care. I, as always, enjoy your posts. PhillyJude

Jen: You are doing great! Hope all is well with Cat, but just enough is wrong

to get her a revision or get her fixed! Keep us posted. Hey, that's

strange..offering to pray for someone that they're just a little not ok. LOL

I've bumped in to a few people who didn't know who I was or who for a few

minutes seemed confused....I love it!

Thanks for yout thoughts and prayers everyone.

I'll update you when I hear what they see. (probably not until her gastro

appointment in September, though... since radiology techs seldom tell you

the results.)

Flo; Dont think of it as praying for something to be wrong... think of it

as praying that whatever is wrong is *blatantly obvious* when the test is

viewed. ;)

I am sorry to hear of Cat's problems, but this bears out the fact that all kinds

of WLS can have problems.

Good luck of getting some help.

interesting day and a request

Hi all;

The last time I weighed was May 31st... the day before my 7th month postop.

I was 210 then, 90 pounds less than my preop weight.

It is funny how my mind still sees me exactly the same as before having the

MGB. It doesn't matter that I'm now wearing a (LOOSE!) size 18W now... my

mind still sees the 300 pound woman who was dying from her co-morbidities.

Sheesh!

Cat (my lifepartner) and I went to a local festival and parade today. We

bumped into many people we hadn't seen since having my MGB. Almost all of

them didn't recognise me, and once he/she did I was asked how much I'd lost

and he/she hoped I hadn't lost that much due to illness. LOL (It is funny

that people feel they must ask if you have been sick.)

anyway... I must have had at least 20 aquaintences ask about my

weight/health today. So I think I need to do some major work on my self

image. LOL

Please, everyone... send good thoughts our way for tomorrow morning. Cat is

going in for a barium swallow to check out the status of the RNY she had in

December of '89. (She also has an endoscopy scheduled in SEPTEMBER... all

gastro doctors up here are scheduled that far out.) We are highly

suspicious of a disrupted staple line, since she can eat LARGE volumes, is

*always* hungry, is re-gaining weight slowly, as well as having nightly acid

AND bile reflux for over 2 years now. (yes, it has taken this long to get a

doctor who takes this seriously, and we have been VERY assertive with

this... I HATE HMO'S!!) It sounds weird, but I hope they find something, so

that she can get a revision/repair covered.

Thanks bunches!
