You can access the state standards from the state education website, I believe. Every grade has a baseline of skills. This is a great resource for writing IEPs. We are now teaching the 4 yo I work with how to spell his name because when he says it, you can't understand him all the time. First name so far and he has it about 90% last time I was there. My kindergartner is in regular class and he wrote his first and last name this year in school. In pre-school, he worked on writing his first name.
