Fathers of autistic children

Hello all,

My name is Skubby and am a father of an autistic child, , whi is 11

years old now. I'm new to the group, having signed up about a month ago at the

Cleveland Autism Society meeting on March 1st. We live in on the East side and

am interested in attending meetings when possible. I am a graduate student in

the Sociology Dept. at Cleveland State and, in the interest of full disclosure,

I am also seeking out fathers of autistic children to interview for a project

that I am doing to complete my Master's Thesis. The interviews are about an

hour long, and basically it's a discussion of fathers' experience as a parent of

an autistic child. The focus is mainly on diagnosis, decision-making processes,

and relationships with the medical and educational systems. I'm available any

time to interview fathers and am cartainly willing to travel to any part of

northern Ohio to do the interview. You can e-mail me back at
