Theresa - My parents go to Parkside in Solon, and they have (or had) classes for children with disabilities. I know in the summer, the classes for special needs children stopped, but they were supposed to resume in the fall. I don't know what they are like, but it might be worth calling the church office and visiting the classes for yourself. At our church, in Hudson, we provide "services" on a need basis, based on the child. For example, a high school girl works with my son during the kid's club on Wednesday night. I actually think this helped my son a lot since she explained what was going on to him and now I think he functions much better since he knows what's going on. There is another child that I work with who needs one-on-one time in a separate room, just because he behavior is so unpredictable, and he could possibly hurt someone else. At our church, we really don't have any specialized degrees or anything. Just a former teacher/tutor to special needs students and a couple of moms of special needs children and other caring adults. And we do have some professionals who are willing to consult on an as needed basis. If you're interested in either church, let me know and I'll give you contact info. There's been some discussion in our Aspergers group about church/religious education for special needs kids like ours.Does anyone attend or know of a particulary good Christian church that has teachersthat are well suited to instructing kids like ours or offer ministries that are appropriate? Thanks! Theresa

I live in Hudson also - pretty new to the area. Have been looking for a church. I'd be interested in which one you were referring to.

Thanks!
