Dear Friend of ASO:

ASO board member Sondra , and adult with ASD, has several speaking engagements coming up. She will be serving on two panels and pre-conference workshops at the ASA national convention in Rhode Island in July. She will also be speaking speak in Norwalk and Newark in July as well. She will also be speaking at MAAP conference (October - see below for details) on panels as well. In November, she will be speaking at the Gray Center Conference (details below).

Sondra spoke at our ASO conference in October, 2005 and is a very inspirational speaker. I encourage you to see her speak if you can. We at ASO are very proud to have her serving on our board of directors.

Surviving and Thriving with ASD

Alyson Beytien (back by popular demand!) Attendees at our March 23rd conference were thrilled with Alyson's practical information (and entertaining presentation) based on her experience as a mom with three adolescent sons on the autism spectrum. She has a wealth of new information to share at this conference. Don't miss it!

Dr. Emilio Amigo Dr. Amigo is Sondra's clinical psychologist. Sondra credits his counseling and the groups he runs with much of the progress she has made socially and in other ways.

Beverly Bishop Beverly is a well-known author (My Friend with Autism) and speaker. She also is a mother of a child with ASD.

Carol Gray President of The Gray Center, Carol has spoken about Social Stories and Social Understanding at previous Gray Center conferences. This time she will be sharing information and ideas surrounding the difficult topic of bullying.
