I've been lurking since joining a couple days ago; ya'll seem to be a pretty active group! My name is . I'm 31 years old and I live in Georgia. I've had ear infections/tubes in my ears ever since I was seven. Both eardrums have ruptured three times. Two years ago I had a modified radical mastoidectomy in my left ear because of a cholesteatoma. I lost the majority of my middle ear bones and now have a prosthesis. I lost roughly 60% of my hearing in that ear, and now have a behind-the-ear hearing aid. As far as the right ear goes, I have a small cholesteatoma, but the doctor has a " wait and see " attitude in regards to it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't get worse/bigger.
