Guest guest
The C-toma was gone so the doctor rebuilt my hearing and had to replace two bones with prostesis ones. I was only in surgery for an hour and a half. It was interesting the nurse had a hard time getting an IV started but after one hour she got one in and then I was taken into surgery after the lab came to draw another tube of blood. I am still really tired and my pain medication is in affect so I am ready to go to sleep. I had an interesting affect happen. I laid down with an ice pack on my cheek to help with the swelling and immediately the swelling increased and moved to my eye so I have a black eye that is really swollen right now. I called the doctor and they had me come in wednesday and checked the swelling and it is just a normal thing that can happen occasionally when there is trauma to your head which I did not know. Guest guest
Good luck for a speedy recovery Shaylyn! My son will be having reconstructive surgery in the future and I am wondering if you require bed rest after surgery and for how long? I heard somewhere that you need to be extra careful about moving around too much for up to 6 weeks. Is this correct?
