I have to agree with this for sure! I went poking around some of the lists

I belong to for key word searches of the archives for some herb info... well

I always poke around the first few posts just to see whats being talked about

and of the 41 lists I belong to I found very few (6 or 7) without fighting

or bickering ...I gotta laugh at some of it though... there's one list that

it has carried over to another list... well back on the original list the

one who carried it over was begging for it to stop!! Like Hello?? if you

want it to stop then STOP TALKING ABOUT IT YOURSELF ON ANOTHER LIST!! ROFLMBO!!

(did I loose anyone... cause I think I lost myself with that description!!LOL)...

Yikes.... This is the main reason I'm no mail on all but 4 lists and our

list is the only one I don't get digest for. The other digests are for special

buys.

When I made this list for the CO-op deals I made it regional... not only

for local soapers to save money, but to keep it small and informal. Big lists

do nothing for me.... you get too many conflicts and nothing comes out of

that but more trouble. I see too many large lists go down the tubes because

of trouble and believe me... Colleen and I won't let it happen here.

I just wanted to thank all of you for being ladies & gentlemen on our

list. I get digest on every other list I am on. I deleted most of them

today without even reading them. Reason being-there is bickering and

nonsense going on that I don't care to be subjected to. Am I missing

info that is probably useful to me? I could very well be, but I'd

rather miss it than "listen" to all the garbage people are throwing back

& forth at each other.

I prefer mature adults having civilized conversations, voicing opinions

without the intent of putting others down, etc.

Thanks to all of you that make me want to get my email everyday. This

group is the one thing I look forward to checking on everyday. So we

don't always discuss soap, that's what makes it so great. We're like

extended family. So thanks to everyone & I hope we all continue to

make

this a "happy" place to come.

Okay, off my soapbox now. Just had to say all that, and now I feel

better! :)

Hi Mom,

It is rare to have it implanted under the muscle.

My 3rd and 4th devices were implanted under the fat.

Back in 1994 and in 1997 I was skinny and that is why they put it

under the muscle.

Love your #1 son

Hello Jon; I am sorry I am writing so late my friend, I just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery. I am very happy that your op went without a hitch. In the mean time I hope your wife recovers from her burns right away, Although I never wrote anything you had my prayers. Regards to the family TURK PS: When I got my ICD last year January 21st i never mentioned that Lennox Hill hospital in NYC was absolutely the best. Very proffessional and very friendly. Of course Lovely flirts of the most beautiful nurses i have ever seen definately helped.Jon Duffey <duffey@...> wrote: Entering day 3 of post-op for ICD#4.. and all's well. Had a funkyvision problem Monday night and off and on through Tuesday.. our palDr. Edlund says it is likely anesthesia residue. Thanks to all who posted and sent notes of support. Some of you mademe a bit teary eyed. Ya'll are really special. Thanks.I changed my dressing today... maybe my incision's a bit bigger thanmost as my device is mounted left of belly button - getting ICD#1 in1994 when they were MUCH bigger than today. Have 9-cute littlestaples. Read through discharge papers.. and NO mention of when andby whom they should be removed. As an old Army medic... I supposed Icould take them out when they should come out. Thanks again...Your prayers and positive thoughts really helped.Now... YOU stay

well...Duffey

Thank you all for helping me on the time between TKR.

I guess my next step is to talk to a MD. I hate traveling, but I think I will

go to Red Bluff CA and talk to Dr. Coon, I like the idea that he does so many

surgeries a year, and is well regarded.

Thanks again!

I'm sure glad I went to Dr. Coon. My recoveries were quicker, no real need for

PT, and the peace of mind knowing the doc has so many quad sparing procedures

under his belt.

Dr. Coon makes you come twice. Once for the initial consult where he takes

XRays in his office, don't bother getting your own beforehand, I don't think

they trust any XRays but theirs. If you have any MRI's you should bring those

if you can.

The second visit is for the surgery which doesn't take long, less than 24 hours

in hospital. They have amazing support, talking about any little thing you want

on the phone or by email...getting you more or different pain meds by phone.

I think you never have to go back after surgery, another primary or ortho doc or

physical therapist can measure your ROM, and I think they send you the

prescription for more XRays at 3 weeks and later.

I always ask and insist I see Dr. Coon rather than one of his assistants.

Although the assistants are very good, I just like talking to him. He is really

making big headway in knee resurfacing, I like hearing about that.

OMG wish that had been my experience! I'm 4 weeks (almost) post TKA. ROM

still annoys me. with lots of work it's about 97. But it starts about 70

and i have to work for an hour to get it up to 90. I'm doing my PT. Wish I

could have had the quad sparing because it sounds so great. I had previous

surgeries that excluded that option for me. The surgeon I picked is one of

the few around here who does that type and that's even why I picked him.

Anybody else feel tired at 4 weeks post-op? I have to nap lots if I do any

kind of activity.
