Guest guest
In my 3.5 years of detoxing, I have learned that dietary changes and exercise won't make everything right, no matter how diligent we are to make all the right moves. The body is electric and if the electricity is not flowing as freely as it could, if there is a certain pathway that is not free, then things start to mess up. I have entered the wonderful world of magnets this year and am quite a big fan. They have done quite a bit for me and the wonderful thing about them is you can GET BETTER passively. You just learn where to place them and forget about them until you need to change the placement or end the therapy. If you have never looked into them, I really encourage it. So I am backing off and starting from scratch, so to speak. If the sweats stop I would resume the coconut oil in smaller amounts until it happens again and then back off. On the other hand If you still suffer from them after stopping you might want to report that to your health professional: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/1924721 Best, Dee > > I believe I have read in these pages that CO stimulates metabolism. Guest guest
Hi Lyn I am glad to hear magnets are helping you with your health. Do you mind if i ask what type of magnets you use (apologies if you have already posted this before). I have tried various types of magnets in the past, both myself & my mother, for different ailments, but they didnt help at all. thanks, Val ________________________________ From: Lyn K <godisbest4me@...> " Coconut Oil " <Coconut Oil > Sent: Thu, 21 July, 2011 21:34:28 Subject: Re: Re: Night Sweats In my 3.5 years of detoxing, I have learned that dietary changes and exercise won't make everything right, no matter how diligent we are to make all the right moves. Guest guest
Night sweats are indicative of yin deficiency, which is not uncommon in 70 year olds. You could try some Zou Gui Wan. Coconut does have a warming property, though. On 7/21/2011 1:55 PM, emily.pfohl wrote: > I believe I have read in these pages that CO stimulates metabolism. Guest guest
Oops, I forgot to suggest Zou Gui Wan. It will nourish your yin. If you feel cold, have loose stools or low energy, try You Gui wan. http://www.chineseherbsdirect.com/product_info.php?products_id=173 & gclid=CJv85r6\ vlKoCFQJrKgodkRGaww On 7/21/2011 1:55 PM, emily.pfohl wrote: > I believe I have read in these pages that CO stimulates metabolism. Guest guest
One thing you can try for cooling is peppermint essential oil. Put it on the following acupuncture points, Large Intestine 4, 11, San Jiao 5, Du 14, Ren 17. You can google those for the locations. Guest guest
I use about a quarter of a cup of course unsweetened coconut in my three quarter cup of JORDANS 50% Fruit, Nuts and Seeds. MUESLI made with all natural whole grains, cereal flakes, dried fruits, nuts and pumpkin seeds. I use six to eight rolling teaspoons of coconut oil a day, in place of butter each day. Every other day I fry three x-large eggs in two heaping teaspoons of coconut oil, three heaping teaspoons of beans in Tomato Sauce, three slices of bacon, two toast with coconut oil for butter.about two cups of black coffee, I am 80 years old and can say the only time I have night sweats is when I cheat and eat chocolate bars and sweets before going to bed. I cheated last night and ate a cadbury chocolate & fruit & nut bar , I woke up this morning ringing wet. I find that most of these problems are as a result of eating after 7 pm. Guest guest
Val Did you get my response? I sent it this morning, but it looks like lost it because I found this much in my Drafts folder tonight. If you did not get it, I will have to retype it.
