Guest guest
Dear Gaye, It is interesting, isn't it? My husband gave blood last week and finally knows he is blood type A, which I suspected all along. He is gingerly approaching this method for eating, though he still lets me know that he thinks I'm crazy! We bought a kit from Dr. D at our local health food store to test my 19 year old daughter. She was a trooper as we stuck her several times incorrectly before we finally got the blood we needed. (If you do this, it was our fear of " hurting her " that made us ineffective. Ha, ha! FYI) She is also blood type A, but is much more willing to forego the beef and other proteins that assault her system. Doctors who rely on science are funny creatures. In one breath they'll tell you that everyone responds to treatment differently. In the next breath they'll say that, for a protocol to be rendered scientifically sound, it must respond the same way in everyone who is tested every time the product is tested. They'll give you medicine and say, " Try this, " but they don't want you to " try " anything outside of their expertise. So, while it is only logical and " scientific " to us that blood type plays a part in a person's health, they are looking for someone in their inner circle to breech the confines of their limited perceptions. That is probably why researching blood type is so threatening. I apologize for the diatribe! It's just that what you said makes a lot of sense! Best wishes, Carrol pdxgaye <pdxgaye@...> wrote: It's funny how people don't even know their blood type these days. They had either given blood so long ago, and don't remember. Yet, my step-grand daughter does not know and Dr. will charge a " ton of money " for her to go thru lab. She's been hospitalized for cancer & stomach problems, and they don't know her BLOOD TYPE, OF ALL THINGS. Silly, Stupid. Gaye
Guest guest
True enough! I know that in Canada though the doctor's won't tell you or do a test to find out unless you give blood or are pregnant. It's really hard for people to find out and very disappointing to those who really want to know but aren't sure how to go about it. - Blood Type It's funny how people don't even know their blood type these days. Guest guest
Yes, when the day I gave birth to to son did I know his blood type. The Pediatrician came in and was shocked that my son had Type A blood. But I already knew that his father was Type A...so what was the big deal, I told her. It was basic high school Biology that A is dominant of O, and the placenta would " take care of " the difference. I was calm as a cucumber, but she was in " panic " somewhat. Funny, how " educated, intelligent " Doctors could be. Love, Gaye

Guest guest
Hi - you can order the kit from me. Click on the link below and follow directions. Here is some info. A person can be either a secretor or a non-secretor. This is completely independent of whether your blood type is A, B, AB or O. In a simplified sense, a secretor is defined as a person who secretes their blood type antigens into body fluids and secretions like the saliva in your mouth, the mucus in your digestive tract and respiratory cavities, etc. A non-secretor on the other hand puts little to none of their blood type into these same fluids. Many metabolic traits, such as carbohydrate intolerance, and immune susceptibilities are linked genetically to secretor subtype. Easy saliva collection. Complete submission kit with mailer. Get results within 1 week by mail or on secure internet connection. Designed by Dr. D'Adamo in collaboration with Great Smokies Diagnostic Labs, an industry leader in innovative diagnostic testing. THIS TEST REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE OF ABO TYPE. NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN NEW YORK STATE OR CANADA. Love ABO Specifics Inc. - http://www.foodforyourblood.com Blood Type I have type O blood. How do I tell if I'm a O secretor or an O Non- secretor. Just what does that mean? Thanks, Marjorie.

Guest guest
Thanks Emmi, and Sharon for responding. Good to hear from you, was feeling all alone and left out. It has been busy here also. Lunch today will be white fish filet with romaine, tomato & onion salad. A nectarine around 2 pm will suffice untill the evening meal. lorrie - O sec
Guest guest
hello, I'm new to this group and would like to say hi to everyone and thanks in anticipation that someone can answer my question! I've just read that people with blood type 0 should not take any coconut products. (I'm guessing because we're meat eaters!!) I've been oil pulling and taking VCO orally for a couple of months now and while I can't say I've had any adverse reactions (such as I read about)neither do I feel any great benefits. Be grateful for any advice and thanks again. Anne
Guest guest
I have never seen a website I trusted which believed blood type diet was built upon any real information. Guest guest
Anne, my wife and I are type O so we are not supposed to take " dairy " according to " eating for our blood type " , but we're doing remarkably well on high dose colostrum, undenatured whey, high-dose milk fat with our large cream intake of 2 quarts each per week, and butter on our vegetables. I think eating for your blood type is a coffee-table conversation starter and that another book with do; I put an Atkins book where people can see it all good, Duncan > > hello, I'm new to this group and would like to say hi to everyone and thanks in anticipation that someone can answer my question! Guest guest
*Hi Alobar: Interesting that you and Duncan say this. I have been reading Mercola's recommendation for years and also the book, " Eat Right for Your Body Type " yet have never implemented their recommendation. For one thing, other than having Type O blood, I have never been able to find a consistent definition. * *Regards, Jim* >I have never seen a website I trusted which believed blood type diet was built upon any real information.
