I just love babies, and kids,human or otherwise.!LOL!

Ya gotta see this little baby fella! He is doing well,and well, he

is such a sweet little fella! I was also looking at the panda

cams...they have other cams, not just on N.P.R. but, the animal

planet as well!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SOmeday I would very much like to have a pet....a little " person "
that I can love a whole bunch...as I don't have any children
myself,and I think that I just would really love to have a " little
person " in my life....I mean that sincerely....many animal lovers
see their " babies " as cute little persons....my friend who has had a
numerous amount of pets, especially pugs, along with her family as
well.They cannot resist adopting them! I will admit, they have grown
on me too, but, I only have sweet little teddy bears, and such that
keep me smiling and laughing..and happy, for the time being.
P.S. Love your pets!
Cuz' they love you, unconditionally! ;-)
I have a little niece that is so very similar to me....they call
her " little " ...she is funny, and creative, and a chatterbox,
exactly like me!...ya know, I really think that it would be better
if they just called her by her name, instead of putting my name on
her as a " label " ...you gotta be yourself,,,,instead of living up to
and or being like the person in the family...ya know?!
I just don't happen to think that my niece will " catch a break " by
being related in that way to me! (while it's a nice thing, in other
ways it isn't....she shouldn't have to be " like me " or labeled to be
like me!) I have been for years been a bit more sensitive to things
that I have said to kids or heard others say....I am trying
to " curb " my old ways....like, for example, I used to go around
teasing little boys about having girlfriends....until people stopped
me ..and asked me, " how do you /would you ,like it, when people talk
to you like that?! " ooops! etc. Well, needless to say, I am working
on that! I guess the older you get, you just learn MORE lessons, not
less! Gee, and I thought adults knew " EVERY THING " ! Life is
sometimes a huge illusion, that we like to take for granted,and
believe in, and go with the flow on...but, you really can't do that,
forever...you can jus' a bit, but, then you gotta wake up and smell
the roses,and feel the thorns!
oh, and speaking of Thorns.....I saw this news coverage of a 13 year
old...I think it was a year ago, or so...maybe a lot sooner...not
sure...about a 13 year old babysitter that shook a baby to death!
I want to say that as a former nanny (20-30+ years), and a preschool
teacher(teacher for about 8 years+) and an auntie(on going! LOL!)
I really think that parents need to absolutely check not just
resume's and references, but, they should be in the home, with the
babysitter, for a bit, and be around, to teach the
babysitter...things, and a babysitter might benefit from First Aid
classes, and or teachings about how to hold an infant, " what to do "
scenarios, and what NOT to do...such as shaking a child....It's so
disturbing to me, to hear that parents do not really try out the
sitter, ya know,...they automatically, let these teens come on over
and babysit the little trusting individuals......It saddens me, that
these little babies, are killed and all because a parent did not
check out " said person " that took care of their babies! and or older
kids....
Did you know, that children CAN drown in 2 inches of water? When I
was working in a daycare.....another teacher was telling a young
woman I was working with, to watch out with the water table....she
had no idea... that only two inches were quite deadly!(You cannot
leave the table area!)
Things can happen soooo fast, it isn't even funny!
I was like a " mama-hen " when I took kids to the local park....I would
not let them stray too far-away! I do not trust some people at the
park......I recall that one time, I told two children to stick close
to me....that there are strange persons in the park,and that you
cannot trust all people. I wanted for them, to stay very, very close
with me,so that I would know, that they were safe!
Later, I got screamed and yelled at.from the parent....because I
told these kids, ages four or five(Dan*not his real name),and
Trevor* age eight going on nine, I think, that kids can be
kidnapped,....the mother had NEVER told her kids, ever...that things
like this can happen.....the reason that I was the one to tell them
this, was I had just assumed(my bad!) that she had already informed
them, that you need to stay close! and that there are people out
there, that will hurt children!) I thought, she would have told them
by now! I know that parents have their own way of seeing
things...but, nobody should wait, that long to inform their
kids....of the truth....because the truth can save your life! (a
friend of mine, ran from her front lawn, when she was about five
years old....She just " knew " that this person was most likely after
her!...her mom did not tell her this....however, many children are
TOO trusting....even adults, can be....
These things I have been reading, are real,and they are not going
away.!! It bothers me a lot...Parents need to INFORM their young
teens that want to work with children and or infants....also,
parents that hire....ought to be cautious...VERY! I cannot emphasize
this strong enough! I feel very stubborn about this info! I used to
tell people in my own interviews,I would say, " please check my
reference, and or fingerprints, etc. That is what I would like for
you to do! Also if you aren't planning to hire me, please, be extra
cautious...as this is your little one,and you want to have the BEST
CARE POSSIBLE for them! Always love, caring, communication etc.
It's upsetting to know ,that this kind of " stuff " (the shaken baby
syndrome and more) still goes on ....I wish that parents and people
would INFORM and help others to learn!
Children are not just our Future, they are wonderful human beings,
brought into this world,and they deserve lots of care, good care,
and love, and understanding,and help, for whenever they need it.
When I was little, I could see that adults, just didn't seem to
understand how little people thought! (I mean ,children in this
case)...Children are brilliant to me.....I have worked with
hundreds! I have learned so much from their ways of thinking! They
are really interesting, and I would so much rather preserve that,
than to lose that!
IF you are a new parent, or know one, please, please, care enough,
to do a little interviewing, and watching of and over your young
sitters..or adult sitters...you have that right!
I want the children in this world to survivive!! They deserve that
chance, and it's their right!
I stand up for kids, in any way that I can....because I really care,
alot!
I know that this is a long letter....but, I just had some things
that I wanted to say.....I feel that this is really important...and
I have heard people mentioning babies being born recently thru the
message boards.......I just wanted to put this important message out
to all.......I am a lot like a " mother hen " when I watch over the
ones that I take care of!! I want them to stay happy,and to learn so
many things...and I love to talk to them alot...for I feel that they
will become extremely smart in the long run!
In my opinion, they already have!
Please heed my words....watch your sitters, get to know them over
time, because your babies, are your children!
Thanks! Just wanted to say my say....
