Ladies and Gentlemen...

For those of us who " DRESS TO THE NINE " S, that's cool for

Convention. But how many of us have gone to our rooms and change into

something different? Many of us including myself have change quickly and

than came back to the banquets and party until god knows when.

I mean ties come off, ladies shoes are sitting by the chairs and

lastly men shirts are unbutton and hanging out of our pants. At this

convention, my wife Marge and her committee are trying to make things

easy, fun and comfortable for everyone.

So if you want to dress to the nine's " GO FOR IT " . You can

dress to the nines with a suit and dress T-shirt. Matter of fact, that's

the way I may come to banquet that night and still be comfortable,

without having to go to my room and change.

Just A Thought

I think that trying new things at a conference is

great, get away from the same ole thing. I was just

hoping though this wouldn't be a trend. As someone

stated we pay all of that money for the banquet and

getting dressed up is all part of that. As for me

personally if I spend a lot on my dress I sure as heck

am not going to take it off right after dinner, I

never got why women did that, but getting dressed up

is just part of the ambiance. I do look forward to

the Orlando conference and I am sure it will be a

great time.

Totally it makes it more fun and its nice to see everyone all decked

out, not a sight you see the whole conference or at local meetings.

Just asking a question here but does this really matter? Whether you

want to get all gussied up for the banquet or prefer casual & comfy

attire is anyone stopping you? I have a hard time believing that

there will be a group of fashion police issuing citations for bad

couture. For those of you who don't live here in Orlando full time,

dress code in most places is pretty flexible. Wear what you like &

don't worry about what others are wearing.

I don't see why folks are getting upset over this.

As Wolf used to sing, " Come as you are " chorus part:

Come as you are, now come on

Come as you are, and well have a ball

Aint gonna be no masquerade

Come as you are, or dont come at all

If someone chooses to dress in blue jean overalls, a tee shirt, a

piece of straw dangling from their mouth, so be it. It ain't you nor

are you obligated to socialize with such a person who dresses like

that if you so choose too.

The banquet is whatever you make it or want it to be too. To some

it's an ending of a love, romance, fling or whatever that they

started at the beginning of the Conference week they know will soon

end as it's towards the end of that week. The banquent to them

signifies the end. To others, it's the continuuing a new love found

or an old one rekindled. And for a few banquet night is really the

beginning, of meeting a love for the very first time because some

joe or jane idiot-o dumped the one they were with at banquet and you

got lucky to meet the one they dumped! haha

To some it is only a dance, especially for those families whose

budget can't afford the banquet (the dining) part, so they eat in

the hotel restaurant first, and then come only for the dance. So why

dress up for a banquet they never ate at?

To others is it a ball along the type that Cinderella and her wicked

step sisters attended, so to each and to all it's whatever you want

it to be:).

luv, grady
