Guest guest
Dear Friends, Well, the day is approaching. Mom's surgery is Wednesday the 7th. Things are getting pretty hectic with worry. She is on antibiotic right now, because of bacteria in the urine. Her mouth is now burning and is going to call the dr. tomorrow. Would a yeast infection pose a problem with hip surgery? Please keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers, her name is Margaret. I will try and update the group as soon as possible, I know I am gonna have lots more questions. Thanks so much, Chris
Guest guest
Hi Your mother is in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sending calming energy out to you to. I'm not sure, but an infection my be cause enough to postpone the surgery. I'm saying that because I had to be very careful about infections before my tkrs. The body naturally wants to reject a foreign body, the prosthesis. Going into the surgery with an infection may be troublesome. Calling her doc is a good idea. Let us know how things go. Guest guest
Hi I'm keeping your Mom in my thoughts. Hope all goes well. I'm getting slightly anxious over my own surgery (2 weeks away now) - my doctor phoned me yesterday to say that my calcium and something-else blood-levels are slightly raised, indicating overactive parathyroid, so she says I need an okay from the endocrinolist. Also I have to repeat my liver-function tests tomorrow, at request of the pre-anaesthesia doctor at the hospital. They are only borderline outside-normal-range results - I don't imagine they'll be cause to postpone the surgery - but I guess the doctors are being extra-cautious. Reassuring to know they're keeping such a close eye on things! Anyway - all my best to your Mom, Chris. From Margaret-in-Israel Prayers for MOM Dear Friends, Well, the day is approaching.
