Guest guest
Valeri I know that pain in the butt well. My happens to be at the top of my scar. Doing more steps or biking lately? I think that is the gluts. Correct me here PT's! I notice it when I do the bike and stepper. Normal stairs too. Rest and moist heat should help. That is what the PT told me. But who has time for rest and moist heat! And I can not get in my jet tub just yet. Maybe get in, but not get out! Now if it came out of the blue with no additional activity, then you might want to mention it to your doc if it does not go away. I hesitate to call it pain, because it is a long way off from pre-surgery pain. It is more of an annoyance and discomfort. But still causes the darned limping again.Valeri

Guest guest
Al I had that also. But it was soon after surgery. Muscle fatigue can cause it to twitch. After a bee sting my left bicep was shaking. Weird feeling. Also dehydration and injury can cause it. If it does not ease up in a day or two, and you did not do anything to agrevate it, talk to your doc or a PT. Always check out something new that last more than a few days. Better safe than sorry. Especially if you can not remember doing anything to cause the pain. Sue > > A general question..do any of you hippies have discomfort or pain > in > > your buttock area of the replaced hip?
