Guest guest
You might consider an appt with a rheumatologist. Did the OS take xrays of your hips? Have you been evaluated by a physical therapist?
Guest guest
Hi, When my daughter & Deb were banded last July, Deb & I went to the mall with Yolanda the next day. Jacqui stayed at the hospital to sleep. Deb had to sit down a few times and was tired after a while. You really loose some stamina after surgery. Probably not the best idea to do mall walking a day after surgery...lol Walking the halls of Almater is more then enough the first couple of days. (Right Deb?) It was fun though! Everyones different however so see how you feel. Dana -------------- Original message -------------- From: "luv_a_wallflower1" <tjuel@...> Hi everyone! I will be banded on June 7 and I was hoping I will feel well enough the next day to go to a museum or a park or shopping. What has been some of your experiences regarding this and does anyone have any suggestions what to go see? Thanks so much!TheresaDOB 6/7/

Theresa// Hi Dana & Theresa, Like Dana said I really think it depends on the way you feel!!Dana and I had such a great time before and after my surgery. Jacqui was very nervous{I think} plus she was practicing her spanish. I walked the halls a bit, but the mall was more fun. Of course Dana nor I knew spanish, but was lots of fun anyway. My flight was delayed and I didn't get home until after midnight and believe me I was tired, but waiting in the airport and plane was what got me most. The next day I had lots of energy tho. I haven't stopped much yet. Getting the band was the best thing I have ever done for myself. Seems with us lady's we always put others first, but in reality we need to take care of us first, then we can do the best for others that come into our life. Hard to to do at times, but so worth it! Just my ideal~Hope this helps. Deb Life is Grand with the Band!
Guest guest
Hello, well a good friend told me that i will be able to help after being banded and here i go.. I was banded on 24th, and i felt great!!!! ont the 25th, i was bored i could of done sight seeing or something. i do tire out after walking but as long as there is places to rest along the way not an issue. But each person is different, there were two others that were banded with me, on had a hernia fixed so she was in more discomfort. But as for me It has been not an issue, we (DH and I) walked the hospital, met with the next group that was going to have surgery. I got to meet another person from this site. Go in with Positive attitude, and all will be well! luv_a_wallflower1 <tjuel@...> wrote: Hi everyone!
